Chiefs finish 3rd at Cog Hill

(Lemont, IL.) - Waubonsee Community College's golfers finished third in the team scoring at the second Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference match of the 2025 season, hosted by Moraine Valley Community College. The Chiefs fired a team total of 326 at the famous Cog Hill Golf & Country Club's course #3 in Lemont, to tie the host school's score. Although it took going all the way to the fifth player's score card, the Chiefs owned the tie breaker over the Cyclones.

Waubonsee was paced by Ryder Zeluff who shot a 37 on the front nine on the way to posting a career best 7-over par 78. The Chiefs' Justin Winters tallied an 81, firing a 38 on the back nine. Brian Davoust was one stroke behind him with an 82 for his round. Trevor Mirra finished with an 85 and Joe Barbush ended with an 88 to round out Waubonsee's participants, which proved to be important.
