Bruce Fraser enters his first season guiding Waubonsee's Tennis program. But he is certainly no newcomer when it comes to the sport. Fraser received a tennis racket for his 6th birthday and has played tennis ever since. In high school, he qualified for the IHSA state tournament all four years at Wheaton North High School as the Falcons' first singles player. He went on to Valparaiso University in Indiana and graduated with a degree in education. Fraser began instructing tennis classes for the Wheaton Park District during summers while he was in college. After graduation he taught history and coached tennis at Elston High School in Michigan City, Indiana. Fraser also coached at Glenbard West High School before taking over at Aurora West High School, leading the Blackhawks tennis program from 1994 to 2005 and again from 2014 through the 2025 season.
