Mozelle "Mo" Kempiak, Waubonsee's 'Double-Double Diva' is headed to Iowa. The 6'0" center from Marseilles will be continuing her collegiate career at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Kempiak was a two-time All-Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference and NJCAA All-Region IV performer, posting 46 double-doubles in points and rebounds in 61 career games during her time as a Chiefs' student-athlete. The Serena High School graduate also set Waubonsee's career mark with 723 rebounds, and had a string of 30 consecutive games with 10 or more rebounds through the latter half of last season and the beginning of this one. This past season Kempiak averaged 13.6 points and 11.8 rebounds per contest while posting 23 double-doubles. "Mo" also averaged nearly three assists and made two steals per game, and was twice named the Region IV Player of the Week.
