Waubonsee Community College's Brooke Heiman was recently named the Region 4 Division II District A Player of the Week for the second week of November. The sophomore from Indian Creek High School helped lead the Chiefs to a pair of victories during the week, netting 65 points and grabbing 21 rebounds along the way. Heiman earned the honor by booking 31 points, snagging 11 rebounds, dishing out two assists, making four steals and blocking two shots in a 75-72 win at the College of DuPage on November 8. Two days later she tallied 34 points in just 30 minutes on the court in the Chiefs' 101-66 win at Illinois Valley Community College. Heiman also grabbed 10 boards, hit four shots from three-point range, handed out two assists and made two steals in the victory. After five games this season, Heiman is averaging 25.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game. The 5'9" guard is also shooting 53.3 percent (48 of 90) from the floor and 92.6 percent (25 of 27) from the foul line.
